December 7, 2010—Carlson Wireless CEO, Jim Carlson will demonstrate a new TV “White Space” broadband radio, RuralConnect™ IP as part of Jack Unger’s keynote presentation at the December 11 meeting of the California WISPA in Sunnyvale. The RuralConnect™ IP is designed to make use of the television frequency spectrum made available by the transition from analog to DTV.
Carlson said he is looking forward to sharing about the new TV White Space product and meeting those who are also excited about this new opportunity for broadband access. “It’s has been my longstanding desire to see rural broadband service increase for telemedicine, distance learning, and rural development and these TV White Spaces offer several distinct advantages over current Wi-Fi technology,” Carlson said.
