Trailblazer™ OutPost (TB-OP)
Trailblazer™ radios are known world wide for providing exceptional “wireline
quality” and secure telecommunications links—far beyond existing lines.
Whether you call it a POTS line, Dedicated Phone Line, Automatic Ringdown,
Hot Line, Private Line, or PLAR, the Trailblazer OutPost (TB-OP) has it. The
TB-OP can also provide simple wireless connections for intercom, public
address (PA), emergency phones and high quality VoIP systems.
Trailblazer’s Enhanced-Encryption Technology™ (EET) provides highly
secure long or short distance wireless communication. The OutPost is a
“plug and play” solution with integrated channel bank, easy installation and
setup. It links to any PBX system with complete transparency with all TDM
Carrier Class analog, digital and/or VoIP systems including fax and V.90
dial-up modems.
Flexible and Programmable
All Trailblazer™ models are bench or field programmable. Configurable bandwidth, allocate voice and data, use installation and antenna alignment aids and diagnostic tools. All models support Carrier Class features, fax, and V.90 dial-up modems, with DSL equivalent connectivity. An automatic ringdown configuration is also available for dedicated lines.

All Trailblazer™ models deliver voice, data, or both, using state-of-the-art digital electronics and wireless links up to 32 mi / 50 km providing network quality telephone links without expensive of right-of-way costs or wireline hard costs.
Plug and Play Simplicity & Reliability
All Trailblazer™ components, including digital radio cards, multiplexer, power supplies and CPU are fully integrated into the 3 kg / 8 lb waterproof outdoor unit (ODU) enclosure that installs easily using a simple wall or pole mount. Carlson’s wireless phone line system is “Plug and Play,” with built-in RJ-11 and RJ-45 jacks as well as ring terminals.
Rugged & Weatherproof
Trailblazer™ ODU terminals are housed in a NEMA 4X waterproof enclosure, built to last in tough climates. Carlson’s wireless telephone extension systems are installed worldwide, from the Alaska North Slope to the deserts of North Africa.
Low Power Draw, Solar Powerable
Point-to-Point systems draw low power and accept any DC Voltage from 12V to 24V. Solar power kits are available with up to 7 days of backup power.
