TECHNICAL SALES POSTITION

Description:

A growing California-based microwave radio manufacturing firm is seeking bright, motivated and experienced salespeople for domestic and international sales.

Applicants must have a proven sales record and basic understanding of electronics and radio technology. Knowledge of telephone infrastructure and WiFi network topology is preferred. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment required. Some specialized training will be provided.

The position is full-time and salaried plus commissions and benefits. Base salary DOE. Occasional travel is required.

The ideal candidate will be adept at:

• Maintaining productive and profitable relationships with existing customers.
• Developing new customer relationships. Cold calling required.
• Constructing detailed product quotes based on customer needs.
• Closing sales

Position Requirements:

• Personable; Communicates well with customers and coworkers.
• Possesses an acute attention to detail.
• Organized and dependable.
• Capable of understanding and relaying highly technical information to customers.
• Must be able to learn new technological information quickly and accurately.
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills (phone skills, e-mail/letter writing skills).
• Business math skills.
• Is willing to Cold Call potential customers.
• Computer skills: Office (incl. Excel, Visio, Outlook), CRM, Quote preparation, Internet, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

• The equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a technology related area of study (or equivalent work experience)
• Three year minimum sales experience

This position reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager.
